The age old problem of hair loss is a common problem that happens to many of us at some stage of life. Some people tend to stress out excessively on hair loss, while others take major steps to reverse the effect of hair loss. Hair growth exercises would work positively on you. Moreover, hair growth exercises also increase the flow of blood to the scalp which is beneficial in increasing hair growth.


Exercising also increases blood flow to the muscles, skin and scalp and hair. The increased blood flow leads to increase in nutrients and oxygen. This provides ample nourishment to the hair roots, and thereby promoting growth of healthy hair. Some of the effects of exercising are comparable to the effects of hair oil massage. Both exercise and oil massage can benefit by  increasing  blood circulation, open clogged pores and has an overall  relaxing effect. However the advantage of exercise over oil massage is that it is not limited to the region of head area but also benefits your entire body. So we can say that it is more beneficial than a mere oil massage.

1. Scalp Massage Exercise:


The foremost important and simple exercise for hair growth is the scalp exercise. Massaging the scalp for good hair growth is essential as it increases the blood flow to the scalp. Massaging the scalp helps in regulation of blood flow to the scalp thereby making numerous vital nutrients available to the hair follicles and improving the productivity of hair.


 2. Jogging:


Running for half an hour minimum every day may help increase your own tresses growth. Jogging enables us to perspire which opens out the pores of the scalp’s skin and get rid of any sort of harmful toxins which are harmful to the scalp health and hair. Perspiration is important for hair health and proves to be a beneficial exercise for hair growth.


3. Neck Exercises:

4. Balayam Yoga (Rubbing Nails):

6. Sarvangasana:


Sarvangasana is vitally known to regulate the working of the thyroid gland and helps the head to get a good supply of blood circulation which helps in hair growth. 7. Kapalbhati Pranayam:

9. Upside Down Exercise:


It is one of the most interesting and working scalp exercises for hair growth out there that can assist in growing the hair well. Though, you will have to keep hanging upside down. 10. Vajrasana (Diamond Pose):


Vajrasana is one of the most simple asanas which can be practised after consuming  lunch or dinner as well. It is a popular belief that a good digestive system is key to a healthy body. This yoga exercise is known to be beneficial for hair growth and is easy topractice. Vajrasana is also known as ‘diamond pose’ and is an essential breathing exercise and meditation. This asana should be avoided by the patients of joint pain.
